A Small Photo Gallery: Wine Storage

even duller than stainless steel tanks?

By In Photographs
If you think stainless steel tanks are boring, dull and tedious just you wait – you aint seen nothing until you wander through winery storage rooms and totally functional barrel rooms devoid of anything stimulating. Or even mildly interesting. OK so at least wine barrels offere a certain romance and expectation of future promise, but try getting an original shot that actually imparts some of that mystical allure. But I’ve tried. Lacking professional lighting gear, a willing assistant or an attractive model to drape seductively over a barrel it is a tad tricky, especially given the inevitable time constraints, to create something unique – after all just how long do you really want to spend in a cold, damp, smelly room full of unlabelled bottles, silent bottling machines and the creak of cardboard boxes?

This small gallery of photos includes images from Spain (cava country), Chablis (France), Douro (Portugal) and Northern Greece.
