Snooth Wine Search:

Just came off the phone to Ross Bentley,a journalist who is penning a piece for Caterer and Hotelkeeper. Not entirely sure I gave much in the way of insightful pithy quotes on the wine blog arena but we shall find out in a forthcoming issue,(he promised to forward me the link when it appears online some time after the 31s August). He has been investigating the blogosphere - he was familiar with some of the food blogs (cooksister was mentioned) but couldn't find any blogs from insiders in the UK restaurant trade. I couldn't think of any... there must be one somewhere, no?

Not sure if this counts, but the redesign at the Standard means that Fay Maschler's reviews are blog-like because you can now comment on them. I'm guessing though that this isn't quite what C&H had in mind.

In prescient timing, I just wrote a post about this.

(Shameless self-promotion here) I maintain a blog at http://grazzac.blogspot.com which focuses on my role as sommelier at the Chester Grosvenor and Spa in Chester. I guess that would count as an insider blog.
