Alpha Estate Entrance Hall

By In Photographs, Visiting Northern Greece
One of the highlights of 2015 was a wine trip to Greece – treated royally right across the board as we skipped and slurped our way across the northern mainland. Sadly I don’t think I’m going to be able to make a trip to Athens for more vino and culinary explorations next month so memories of last years excursion will have to suffice.

One estate I’ve not mentioned much, despite enjoying a walk amongst the vines and thoroughly relishing their wines, is Alpha Estate. For this weeks Sunday Wine Shot, and the first for 2016, a little snap of the entrance hall of the winery/visitor centre. As you can see its rather a grand affair, dramatic too…

Alpha Estate, Greece

ALPHA ESTATE is located at the northwest part of Greece, the Amyndeon, Florina region. Alpha Estate was founded in 1997 by the experienced viticulturist Makis Mavridis and chemist-oenologist Angelos Iatridis, who, after years of experience in various locations of Greece, chose the Amyndeon region to create his own wine.
