“Gin is a spirit which derives its predominant flavour from juniper berries. From its earliest origins in the Middle Ages, gin has evolved from use in herbal medicine to an object of commerce in the spirits industry.” Wikipedia
Where to Buy Artisanal And Big Brand Gins
Any supermarket will offer at least a couple of the major gin brands – Gordons, Greenalls, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray and so on. But for those really artisanal gins you either have to go direct to the distillery (or shops nearby). For online offerings the best retailers are Masters of Malt, The Whisky Exchange and The Gin Foundry. There are a couple of ‘clubs’ where for a monthly or bi-monthly subscription you are sent a mystery gin, which in the case of Craft Gin Club includes a magazine, and related extras (such as a bottle of tonic, a snack and so on).
