To the South West of the village of Chablis lies the hamlet of Préhy. If you take the D2 from Chablis you eventually pass this church, the Church of Sainte Claire Prehy, which is surrounded by vines. It is quite a sight. Right next door lies the winery and visitor centre of Jean-Marc Brocard, whose organic vineyards smother the gentle slopes in all directions. The Church lends its name to their Chablis (Chablis Cuvee Sainte Claire £12.50 Wine Society) although my palate favoured the extra complexity, weight and concentration in their Vieilles Vignes Chablis (£14.95 also Wine Society).

Below the fabulous promotional video from the Brocard’s; it might not tell you much but it looks stunning.
