I was lucky to be invited to the annual Essencia do Vinho tasting in Portugal earlier this year. This is a photograph of the main tasting hall, a grand old building, beautifully restored. Stands from producers spread from the bottom floor and up a level or two to fill the surrounding galleries.

This is the latest in the series of Sunday Wine Shots, a selection of wine related photographs.

  1. Great shot – such a striking angle. And what a beautiful building!! I’d love to see that patterned floor when the stands are gone too…

  2. I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to the 2012 edition, thanks for the upcoming visual, can’t wait!
