Brussels is set to refer India to the World Trade Organisation unless New Delhi ends excessive tariffs on imported Scotch whisky. As India is the largest market in the world for whisky you can see why they, and malt whisky producers, are a bit miffed.

The astronomical duties are effectively blocking wine and spirit imports into India, says the commission.The report also accuses New Delhi of “failing to cooperate” with the investigation."
