For the first time in 200 years, 18th century-style stills are being installed at the soon-to-be reconstructed George Washington's Whiskey Distillery in America.

Daily Press
"The distillery, scheduled to be dedicated in September and open to the public in April 2007, will be the only operating 18th century-style distillery in North America. The rebuilt distillery will function as a national distilling museum and the gateway to the American Whiskey Trail, which encompasses sites in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee.."

I visited the Jack Daniel's Distillery here in Tennessee this weekend... I'll have some photos and a story up on the blog in the next few days. Can't wait to see the Washington distillery in the future!
