In a corner of the Mercato Centrale in Florence is a little bar, seemingly frequented only by gruff market traders. The glass rack at the far end of the bar caught my eye – a fantastic heavy metal three tiered piece of work. I haven’t a clue how old it is but I like to think its been in this grand old market since its construction in 1874. The brass detail from the rack, of a male head sporting grapes in his hair, is pictured here for this weeks Sunday Wine Shot.
