You may have read about the old bottle of wine plastered with Adolf Hitlers face (Tim at WinePost first alerted me to the wine). The Fuhrerwein, with an alcohol level of 12%, was from a collection believed to have been given to Hitler's officers during the Second World War to celebrate his 54th birthday.

The bottle was put up for auction and sold today for £3,995.

Heard about this on the radio. Undrinkable apparently. With all this global warming and tales of grape harvests in the south of England, I'm getting horible images of bottles of Tonyblairwein.
