Snooth Wine Search:

You gotta go with a plan. It is so bloody big that without one you end up flitting from place to place; never tasting what you went there for in the first place. For the UK wine trade next weeks International Wine and Spirits Fair is the year's major calendar event. It's huge with just about every wine going available for tasting (plus a fair amount of spirits) under the one Excel Centre roof.

The three days it runs is hardly enough to time to walk from one end to the other; another reason to go with a plan. I'll be there for the Tuesday and probably on the Thursday too; absolutely loads to pack in (commute time is 2 hours each way so its makes for a long day) including a speech by Hugh, the Gaping Void guy on blogging and the Stormhoek brand. I don't want to miss that!

The Stormhoek blog mentions that they, in cooperation with the fairs organizers, will be doing real time, live blogging including audio and video podcasting. All will be posted on www.winefairlive.com and fed live throughout the event on 20 plasma screens. The posts and podcasts will remain up for for the next year. Will more of the wine trade see the benefits of blogging...
