Guess where I was last week! If you follow SpittoonExtra you would of course know it was Vinoteca. This marvellous little place has another accolade - Time Out's Best Wine Bar. You won't be able to get a table for weeks now!

Time Out
"Based on the enotecas of Italy, Vinoteca is a small, plain room with wood floors, white walls, plus shelves showing off every bottle you can drink. The 200-bin list champions underrated regions of Spain, France and Italy, and is kind on the wallet. Wine by the glass ranges from about £2.95 to £8. The shock is that the food is so good; that’s down to chef Carol Craddock, who worked at Bibendum. The menu features dishes such as crisp fillet of sea bass on pickled cucumbers, fennel and ginger, with mint and a lovely tamarind and chilli dressing. Vinoteca has a licence for off-sales too, so if a tipple takes your fancy, simply take it away for more."

Thanks to Monkey Gland for the link.
