A couple of tastings - Flying Corkscrew is having Derek Smedley MW hosting a tutored tasting of South African wines (have to be quick on this one as it is 8pm this Friday). Cost is just £10 a head. Phone the shop on 01442 412311.

Chocolate and Wine is the focus for Ultimate Wines' October tastings (26th London, 28th October Marlow). Paula writes that "We’re working with a new chocolatier in London, Luento Santoro, to find our selection of chocolates. They have a fabulous range of “single varietal” chocolates from exotic locations around the world as well as marvelous “Grand Cru” blends and some terrific combinations of chocolate with nuts, coffee, caramel, and various fruits." Sounds bloody good to me!
