national wine month May 2011The National Wine Month website has been launched! www.maketimeforwine.org and with its launch the start of an online study to find out more about the Nation's tongues and how they use them. Check out the online do-it-yourself test, which asks Brits to taste sweet, acidic and tannic liquids using sugar, lemon and teabags. The Wine & Spirit Education Trust - the world's biggest provider of wine education and the organisation behind National Wine Month - is commissioning the study to understand not only how people's taste differ, but why. Join in the taste test at www.maketimeforwine.org and be part of the UK Tongue Map.
The new website is designed to take the average wine drinker beyond their normal wine boundaries and explore, discover and enjoy the wide variety of wines available in the UK. It will allow users to find out about events happening in their area throughout May, as well as learn more about wine via tasting tips, an online 3 minute wine school and much more. National Wine Month is May 2011 and is a month packed full of fun and educational events, promotions, tastings and roadshows in supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and bars around the country. Events are taking place across the country and throughout May there will be a host of fantastic National Wine Month prizes in the media, including the chance to win VIP vineyard trips for two to France and Spain, free tickets to exclusive wine events and of course, wines from around the world for you to enjoy at home.

There will also be the opportunity to win wine related prizes on the website throughout the month plus the chance to win a bottle of wine every day to toast National Wine Month.
