The Cru screenshotMany thanks to Jeanne for alerting me to this new blog. Despite South Africa's dynamic wine scene bloggers commentating on the industry are practically non-existent; so a delight then to find The Cru.

Recent posts have celebrated South African white wines, a wine recommendation to accompany the Cape Malay classic dish Bobotie and (bizarrely in a sub-blog) wines of the week.

The 'cru master' (I do hate it when people do not use their real names) also pens a weekly food and wine matching column on Beyond the Pass blog (part of the South African Chefs Association) with Wine and Fish being the latest subject.
