Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2007

An English wine for Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs

By In Photographs
Christmas bubbles sorted! Going the full English this year with Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2007. Maybe not with a full English breakfast, thinking more a little scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on a muffin, nor with the bowl of Mr Trotter’s new Pork Crunch (“new lighter bites”) as pictured.

The Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2007 is described as “A lovely pale straw-yellow colour. The essence of purity, with a rich nose of bergamots, Philadelphus and Granny Smith apples followed by racy citrus fruits and focused minerality on the palate.”

Not being terribly au fait with plants I had to look up Philadelphus and discovered it is one of my most favourite of plants when in flower! Vanilla and lemon to the fore.
