To say the weather was not good to us over the weekend would be an understatement. Showers followed us throughout our travels around south-western Bulgaria. They were torrential during our visit to the Medi Valley Winery. If it wasn’t pelting it down thick fog sapped the colour from our surrounds. Even more gruelling is that only a few days before our arrival the whole country was basking under glorious sun and temperatures nudging 30 degrees.
This photo, taken god-knows-where as I’ve snapped the GPS connection to my elderly Canon 7d, looks across a vineyard to a heavy rain storm lashing some distant hills. What it does show is the wonderful Bulgarian landscape. This weeks Sunday Wine Shot – Rain on Distant Hills.
