“Chardonnay or Sauvignon? Rioja or Beaujolais? Whether you’re shopping for a dinner party, or just picking up a bottle for you and your partner, knowing which of the many different wines on display are ‘in’, can cause quite a headache.

In recent years wines varietals such as Chardonnay have fallen out of favour. Chardonnay’s success in the 90s was spearheaded by heavy oaky Australian blends but its ubiquity inevitably led to a backlash with people asking for ‘anything but Chardonnay’.

This is all set to change in 2011 with Chardonnay one of the varietals set to make a big comeback this year says wine expert Oz Clark.

Watch our video with wine expert Oz Clarke as he offers his top tips for picking the perfect bottle, and will explain why Western Australian wines are the ones to watch this year.”

Basically this isn’t Oz Clarke banging on about a world encompassing set of trends for the year ahead; more a promotional lurch for Western Australian wine.

Interesting post. Thanks! Have you heard of LoveThis? I’ve started using it to get wine recommendations. They are looking for wine experts, you’d be great for that. Maybe worth checking them out.. http://www.lovethis.com. Keep up the great blog, how do I subscribe?

  3. Wonder what he got paid for this?
