Told you Prosecco was due a turn in the spotlight; today's Observer Food Monthly offers a taste test of 19 bottles with three, (yep three!), from Bisol appearing in the top league.

Top two places go to M&S own labels - M&S Prosecco (£7.49) "Excellent" and M&S Roboso Rosé (£7.49) "delicious, delicate summer drink" followed by Santo Stefano Ruggeri Prosecco (£11 Harvey Nichols) "really very nice". Then a Bisol duo - Bisol Desiderio Jeio (£7.99, Bibendum) and Bisol di Valdobbiadene Superiore (£19.50 Bibendum).

The full list and tasting notes are on the Food Monthly Website; just avoid the La Gioiosa from Tesco... £6.99 for "not very pleasant at all".
