A member of the prestigious UK based Circle of Wine Writers and WSET Diploma holder I am totally immersed in the world of wine and food.
Photography is a keen
interest too and use my own images to illustrate the articles across the various sites.

Samples are accepted for independent review. Please email for address details. All wines samples should be accompanied by price and stockist details. Published books and food items are also welcome for impartial review.
Spittoon and the email newsletter attract several thousand visitors and readers everyday. A majority of new viewers reach Spittoon through web searches and are searching for a specific wine or type of wine.
Site network
Spittoon.biz http://www.spittoon.biz
This is updated nearly everyday and is the main focus of my writings now that RSS is eclipsing email newsletters. Wine tasting notes and wine news with plenty of links forms the basis of content. Topics such as beer and spirits add to the mix. Food and wine matching comprises a lot of the content.
SpittoonExtra.biz http://www.spittoonextra.biz
A spin off from Spittoon, SpittoonExtra was created to place the regular blog-events away from the more important wine and drink news and reviews. Food and Photography are the focus on SpittoonExtra often linking in with a wine recommendation on Spittoon. Non-food pictures occasionally appear.
UKWinesOnline http://www.ukwinesonline.co.uk
Focusing on the vibrant independent wine merchant sector in the UK posts, for it is in blog format, covers merchant website reviews, events and tastings, special offers and the like. (Spittoon will keep its wine tasting note/international news focus). UKWOL, as we like to call it, is a joint venture between myself and John Boutall. John has many years in the trade as a specialist French wine importer and has wide knowledge of all things France . He runs the French Duck blog that details events and happenings in France with a food/wine/travel/culture connection.
The Foodie List http://www.theFoodieList.co.uk
The food equivalent of UKWOL but covering both on and off line shops, events and tastings. Books, elusive ingredients, kitchen equipement and the like are all covered. Again this is a jointly compiled blog between myself and John Boutall.
The WellFed Network http://www.paperpalate.net http://www.thespiritworld.net
Three sites forming part of the WellFed network of food and drink related websites. Wine Sediments offers a varied range of wine writing from writers around the world while Paper Palate looks at food in print from around the world. The Spirit World covers cocktails, beers and spirits in addition to wine and beer.
I post regular articles on all three sites.
