White Wine abstract

The list of UK based food and drink blogs has broken through the 110 barrier. The newly updated display, available on SpittoonExtra, includes several wine blogs. Just discovered are two from well-known UK journalists Andrew Jefford and Simon Woods.

Andrew Jefford is the award winning author of many wine books - my favourite being The New France, an invaluable book.

His blog, simply called AndrewJefford.com, is only updated 3 or 4 times a month but the posts are interesting. Witness the look at the wines of Laithwaites for example.

Simon Woods has a regular writing gig for Wine & Spirit magazine. His blog, Drinking Outside The Box, again is not updated that frequently. Recent posts have criticised the Oddbins own-label range and more light-heartedly links to an Australian story on getting bladdered.

Perhaps with such luminaries writing blogs the status of us all will raise and be taken a little more seriously.
