So just who is Bernard Hickin? ONLY the Chief Winemaker at Jacobs Creek – perhaps the most famous Australian wine brand in the UK. In this video he is interviewed by Safi Zisman of Tip of the Tongue and gives Safi a little wine tasting introduction to six bottles in the range. Interesting stuff.

As the new Chief Winemaker at Jacob’s Creek, Bernard Hickin is at the forefront of Australian winemaking. Supervising the process from vineyard to bottle – he’s one of the world’s most knowledgable winemakers and if you’re in need of wine advice – he’s certainly the man to listen to.

The sun, the soil and even the winds all affect how a wine will taste with some vines growing more successfully in certain areas than others. This regionality is currently a hot topic in the Australian wine industry.
