Video: Turkish Wines
Posted on May 10, 2011 by Andrew Barrow in VideosJust discovered a whole host of fascinating videos that cover the wine scene in Turkey. This follows a big marketing push last month with a trade tasting at Vinopolis (which I couldn’t get to). The most interesting of these videos are Prof Gokhan Soylemezoglu detailing the native grape varieties and wine regions followed by Dr. Patrick McGoven discussing Turkey as the possible birthplace of wine.
Other videos in the series are:
- Jancis Robinson with insights into Turkish wines and the industry developments: www.vimeo.com/22097954
- A masterclass on Turkish Wine bu Charles Metcalfe: www.vimeo.com/22097456
- Another masterclass, this one with Tim Atkin MW www.vimeo.com/22097964
- And Dr. Jose Vouillamoz on eastern Anatolia as being the most likely “primary domestication centre of the grapevine”: www.vimeo.com/22093341
Now all we have to do is grab a few bottles of Turkish Wine… if only it was that easy!
