For what seemed like hours – well it was hours, but enjoyably so, we had crossed Sicily in the bus marvelling at the scenery. There were countless photo opportunities; none of which we were able to stop for as the schedule was tight. But finally as the sun began to set I could take it no more and forced, nay demanded!, that we have a quick stop to at least try and capture the vineyards spread around us. As it transpired we were not that far from our destination – Tasca d’Almerita in the Madonie-Conte di Sclafani region. We were granted five minutes in which time I managed to snap a passable photo or two…

Vineyards at Tasca d’Almerita, this weeks Sunday Wine Shot.
