A guide to matching wine & cheese

It has been pointed out that the most popular post on Spittoon is not that helpful. A list of Matching Cheese and Wine is great but bloody tiresome to sort through if you start with a wine and need to select a cheese to accompany. So ‘ere we go – the great Have Wine What Cheese list.

This list couldn’t possibly be exhaustive, there are far too many combinations. There are some general wine groupings (ie Spanish Red) and some more specific recommendations (ie Rioja). The idea is to offer suggestions; experimentation is the key.
