To celebrate Mark Inglis' ascent of Everest, Marlborough's Cellier Le Brun has selected one of its aged vintage wines and will release it as Summit 8850.

"In honour of Mark, we've selected from our cellar what we think is our very best wine and put a personal label on it," Cellier Le Brun Manager Neville Marr said. "We wanted to say 'well done mate, we think you're a good bastard and we like you lots'," Mr Marr said. The bottles are numbered up to 8850 - the number of metres the double amputee climbed to the top of Mt Everest. Mr Marr said he hoped to present Mr Inglis with bottle number 8850 when he arrived at Christchurch Airport.
