Georgian Wine Society Launches Adopt A Vine: The Society has partnered with Telavi Wine Cellar to reserve an allocation of vines in the Kondoli Vineyards in Kakeheti. Not names that many would be familiar with I would think. Adopt A Vine customers can select either the white Mtsvane or the red Saperavi grapes for the 2011 vintage. One vine is £29.99 or three for £54.99. From each of the adopted vines you reveive one bottle of wine.
Chris Bowling, founder of The Georgian Wine Society says: "
We wanted to
offer our customers a more original way of getting involved with Georgian wine. 'Adopt a Vine' is a unique present, much more interesting than a bottle from the supermarket. You learn exactly how the wine you drink is created, from grape to glass. The vines are limited in number, so contact us soon ifyou wish to reserve yours."

Ask Men Top Wine Blogs
A new site to me is AskMenUK but it is packed with fashion, health, lifestyle and entertainment news and articles. Plenty to keep you amused and inspired for ages. The fine fellows behind the site have just released their top 10 Wine Blogs For Men list.
Spittoon is there and so are the Bibendum Times (for which I occassionally write), Robert McIntosh and his Wine Conversation, the wonderful Sourgrapes from Ireland, retailer Bordeaux Undiscovered and the highly useful MatchingFoodandWine.

The Single Malt Whisky Flavour Experience Gift Pack
An affordable way to introduce a loved one to the world of whisky; a drink sector that one trim looking fellow mentioned recently should really be featured more in Spittoon. This miniature bottle pack offers four contrasting whiskys - Talisker, Delwhinnie, Glenkinchie and The Singleton of Dufftown, together with 'The Flavour Map', a guide on tasting single malt whiskies. The recommended price for this is £12. Produced by Diageo, you should find it on the shelves at Tesco.
