Wine Tasting Note: Lake Chalice Sauvignon Blanc, 2004, Marlborough, New Zealand.
Independents £9.99.
A fresh and zingy Marlborough Sauvignon - a superb pink grapefruit, lime and gooseberry aroma sings from the glass. Light to medium bodied, crisp, mineral edge more of that gooseberry and lime flavours enlivened with mouth-watering acidity and a good length. Alcohol 13%. What to drink with this? fish is the first choice with anything baked a good match. But try too with deep fried whitebait; delicious.
Scribblings Rating - 90/100
