Certain circles of twitter are in a tweeting frenzy concerning this Autumns Wine Bloggers Conference (or Digital Communications Conference as it is now called). This year everyone is heading to Turkey and perhaps neighbouring Georgia if they managed to secure a place on the post-conference trip (tickets were snapped up within half an hour). In 2011 the EWBC was held in Italy, Franciacorta to be precise, with trips to the Alto Adige, Chianti and Fruili. Somewhere along the way, in the Carso area near Trieste, a stop was made at the Zidarich winery – superb wines indeed – where this ‘snap’ was taken. Could really do with a couple of mixed cases to top-up the wine rack.

Wine Cases in the Zidarich Cellars – the latest in the regular Sunday Wine Snapshots series highlighting photographs with a wine related theme, whether bottles, glasses, vineyards or the back scenes of wineries.
